*RMC13003 - 09/17/2007 - ROPEDRVR abends with ASRA after certain types * of printer maintenance. * *Problem Summary: * If an active printer (a printer printing reports) is updated by * the ROMT option 9 panel or the SOOP/PROP/RCMS/RCMP transaction * and all the reports for the printer are removed, the ROPEDRVR * task will loop and then ASRA trying to update the current report. * *Symptoms: * The loop control register R0 goes negative because it starts at * zero and is not tested. The value in R0 is the number of reports * assigned to the printer. This causes the search for the current * report entry to run off the end of allocated storage. * *Temporary Fix: * The following replacement object modules must be obtained from * technical support: * ROPEDRVR * *SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: * Until this fix is applied, you should drain the printer prior to * performing the maintenance. The subsequent start of the printer * will cause the value of PCRCURRP to be recalculated correctly. * *Permanent Fix: * This problem will be corrected by PTF in the next release of * ROPES. * *End Of Document
